Review of Panasonic EP 1285 Massage Chair Recliner

This is a review of the Panasonic EP 1285 model massage chair. This is a new series of contemporary urban massage recliners from Panasonic. This series is the first attempt to begin to match the decoration of most homes. Almost every massage chair released from Panasonic unfortunately has looked like a massage chair. This is a good break with past tradition.

One of the first areas that you will always want to check is the warranty coverage. Born key coverage is equivalent to an insurance policy. These types of recliners have many moving parts and electronics which sometimes can have problems. You want to be sure that you have sufficient warranty coverage and protection for peace of mind.

The EP 1285 comes with their standard one-year coverage on parts. It also provides for one year of on-site service or in-home service. This is an important aspect of warranty coverage as it is better to have it serviced in your home rather than you have to take it somewhere. The rollers in the chair back are covered for three years. This is basic warranty coverage and you may want to consider getting an extended warranty.

We are excited at the new design that the contemporary urban massage recliner series is bringing to the table. One of the biggest complaints about these types of chairs is they are hard to integrate into the decoration of your home.

This recliner comes with nine basic massage modes. The massage modes include Swedish, chiropractic, kneading, Hawaiian, percussion, compression, tapping, shiatsu and rolling massage. This is a fantastic variety to have in a single recliner. These are basically manual massages which can be directed to specific areas for your convenience.

You also get pre-programs included with this chair. Pre-programs are automatic massage programs that control the whole chair. This allows you to push a single button and receive a full body massage. You can also adjust the chair to your shoulder height for a more customized massage.

The leg rest comes with an air ottoman system. The leg rest provides massage coverage for both the calves and the feet. The bottom portion of the leg rest of it's to allow you to stake your legs through. The air ottoman also comes with 12 airbags to provide better coverage of the calves and feet.

The EP 1285 also comes with a like stretch. The leg stretch utilizes the leg rest to stretch out the lower body. The leg rest is raised horizontal and the airbags are activated to hold the feet. The leg rest is then lowered slowly to three different positions to stretch out the lower body.

Panasonic incorporates its Swede-Atsu urban massage technology. This utilizes two to four firm rubber massage heads which are used to stimulate the stroking of the palm and the pressing of the heel of the hand. This provides a realistic massage feeling. These massage techniques help to relax the muscles.

Overall, we like to do contemporary design of the EP 1285. Panasonic has done a good job in styling this chair to match with the decoration in more homes. The massage techniques used in this recliner are subtle yet effective. The air system in the leg rest is effective in helping improve the circulation of the lower legs. This is a good step forward for Panasonic and is a massage chair that you should check out.
